Who we are

Broad Bikez is a CIC offering encouraging, hands-on bike mechanic workshops, friendly repairs, and community rides for women, LGBTQIA+ folks, and anyone who feels unseen or unwelcome in traditional cycling spaces and want to gain confidence and practical skills in an inclusive community.

For some women and non-binary people, bike shops are not a safe environment which represents them. The motivation for BBZ to introduce more people to cycling is a strong belief in cycling being an amazing way to improve physical and mental health, is accessible to almost everyone, and can be a great activity to build a community around. We operate in London where bike infrastructure desperately needs improvement, so cycle confidence and the ability to make your bike safe are vital for those using the roads.
