Who we are
BroadBikez (BBZ) supports women, girls and LGBTQIA+ people to step up into the bike mechanic industry and improve cycle confidence through skills development in kind and creative spaces. BBZ provides bike mechanic services and advice for members of our community as well as a space to meet like-minded people.
For some women and non-binary people, bike shops are not a safe environment which represents them. The motivation for BBZ to introduce more people to cycling is a strong belief in cycling being an amazing way to improve physical and mental health, is accessible to almost everyone, and can be a great activity to build a community around. We operate in London where bike infrastructure desperately needs improvement, so cycle confidence and the ability to make your bike safe are vital for those using the roads.
